Internet Explorer 9’s Useful Keyboard Shortcuts

Here is the useful shortcuts for Internet Explorer 9 :
  • Alt  :  Shows the menu bar. After you make a selection, the menu bar goes away.
  • Alt + Home  :  Opens homepage.
  • Alt + C  :  Opens the Favorites / Feeds / History window.
  • Ctrl + J  :  Opens the Download Manager.
  • Ctrl + L  :  Highlight the text in the address bar.
  • Ctrl + D  :  Add the current page to your Favorites. (bookmarks)
  • Ctrl + B  :  Organize your Favorites.
  • Alt + X  :  Opens the Tools menu.
  • Alt + Left Arrow or Backspace :  Go to the previous page.
  • Alt + Right Arrow :  Go to the next page.
  • Ctrl + Shift + L  :  This shortcut open the website automatically, If you’ve URL in your clipboard; if you have some text in your clipboard, this shortcut search for it on your default search engine.
  • Ctrl + K  :  duplicates your current tab.
  • Ctrl + Shift + P  :  Opens an InPrivate Browsing window.
  • F12  :  Opens the developer console.
  • Ctrl + T  :  Opens a new tab.
  • Ctrl + W  :  Close the tab.
  • Ctrl + N  :  Opens a new window.
  • Ctrl+  :  Zoom in.
  • Ctrl-  :  Zoom out.
  • Ctrl + 0  :  Resets zoom to normal.
  • Ctrl + Shift + T  :  To reopen closed tabs.
  • Ctrl + Shift + Del  :  To delete the browsing history.
  • F11  :  Full screen view. (Press again to exit full screen view)
  • Tab  :  Move forward through the items on a webpage, the Address bar, or the Favorites bar.
  • Shift + Tab  :  Move back through the items on a webpage, the Address bar, or the Favorites bar.
  • F7  :  Start Caret Browsing. (This feature puts a moveable cursor in webpages that you can use to select text using the keyboard)
  • Shift + F10  :  Display a shortcut menu for a link.
  • Ctrl + F  :  Find text on current page.
  • F5  :  Refresh the current page.
  • Esc  :  Stop loading the page.
  • Ctrl + S  :  Save the current page.
  • Ctrl + P  :  Print the current page.
  • Alt + T  :  Opens the Tools menu from menu bar.
  • Alt + H  :  Opens the Help menu from menu bar.
  • Ctrl + Click  :  Opens the links in a new tab in the background.
  • Ctrl + Shift + Click  :  Opens the links in a new tab in the foreground.
  • Ctrl + Tab  /  Ctrl + Shift + Tab  :  Switch between tabs.
  • Ctrl + Alt + F4  :  Close other tabs.
